Welcome to the world of volleyball excellence! My name is Sheridan Dalier, and I am delighted to be your guide on this exciting journey of improving your volleyball skills and reaching new heights in the game.

With over 10 years of playing experience and 3+ years as a dedicated volleyball coach, I have honed my passion for the sport into a commitment to helping players of all levels discover their true potential. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse teams and individuals, ranging from youth beginners to seasoned athletes. My coaching journey has provided me with a profound understanding of the unique challenges and aspirations that each player brings to the court. I take immense pride in tailoring training sessions to suit individual needs, recognizing that every athlete is on their own path of growth.

My coaching approach extends beyond refining volleyball skills; I believe in nurturing leadership, resilience, and a winning mindset in my athletes. I strive to be more than just a coach; I am a mentor and a confidante, empowering players to face challenges head-on and embrace the lessons that sports teach us about life.

Volleyball

Beginner Lessons

​

$30/hr (minimum 1 hour lesson)

(one on one lesson)

Designed to empower individuals who are new to the sport, providing them with a personalized and focused learning experience. Tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each participant, these lessons aim to build a strong foundation of fundamental skills, boost confidence, and ignite a passion for volleyball.

Beginner lessons can include but are not limited to:​

- Basic Rules and Court Orientation

- Introduction to the Sport! 
- 3 Step Spiking+Hitting
- Court Rules 
- Basic Bump/Passing Techniques
- Setting
- Footwork
- Serving
- Individual Drills 
- Game-Like Scenarios â€‹

(All of this will be broken down over multiple lessons!)

By the end of your beginner volleyball lessons, you will have gained a solid foundation in volleyball fundamentals, allowing you to confidently participate in recreational games, school teams, or local leagues.

Above the Net

Intermediate Lessons

$30/hr (minimum 1 hour lesson)

(one on one lesson) 

Designed for players who have some experience with volleyball but want to further develop their skills. These lessons typically include more advanced techniques and tactics.

​

Lessons can include but are not limited to:
- Skill refinement

- Setting
- Attacking/ Hitting
- Defensive Drills ( footwork, positioning, and reaction time, etc)

- Work in different positions on the court (Libero, DS, OH)

- Game Scenarios
- Serving to Zones

- Diving

- Overhand Serving work and analysis

With this intermediate volleyball lesson plan, players will experience a well-rounded and challenging training session that hones their skills and introduces advanced strategies. Players will find increasing enjoyment in the sport of volleyball while taking their abilities to the next level and preparing for tryouts too.

Advanced Lessons

Volleyball

35/hr (minimum 1 hour lesson)

These Advanced Volleyball Lessons are designed for experienced players who want to elevate their skills and knowledge to a higher level of play. Through challenging drills, tactical training, and intense gameplay scenarios, these lessons aim to refine technique, enhance decision-making, and cultivate a competitive edge. Whether you're preparing for elite-level competitions or seeking to excel in competitive leagues, these lessons will propel you to reach your full potential as an advanced volleyball player.

Advanced Lessons can include but are not limited to:

- Advanced Serving Techniques

- Precise Passing and Setting (and Jump Setting)

- Attacking Strategies

- Defensive Training

- Tactical Team Play

- Performance Analysis

- Targeted Drills

- Overhand and Jump Serving  (lessons and practice)

- Position Work + Zone execution 

- Serve + Receive work

 

Whether you're preparing for elite competitions or seeking to dominate in competitive leagues, these lessons will help you unleash your full potential on the volleyball court.

Pre-Tryout Lesson

$40/hr (minimum 1 hr lesson)

These lessons are designed for any level player who want to prepare for upcoming tryouts. With a comprehensive approach, the clinic aims to assess and enhance participants' skills, provide specialized positional training.

 

The Pre-Tryout Volleyball Lesson can be conducted over a weekend or span multiple days, with each session lasting approximately 2-3 hours.

The Pre- Tryout Lessons can include but are not limited to:

- Defensive and Blocking Techniques

- Spiking/ 3-Step Hitting work

- Setting + Advanced Setting

- Mock Tryout Scenarios 

- Attacking

- Diving

- Serving "Showcase"

- Pre Performance Routine building

With these Pre-Tryout lessons, players will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills, gain valuable experience, and build confidence ahead of team tryouts. . As they continue to grow and learn, participants will be better equipped to thrive in competitive volleyball settings and pursue their passion for the sport.

Volleyball Practice

Group Lessons/ Team Practices

$60/hr (minimum one hour) 

Training sessions conducted for a small group of players, fostering teamwork, communication, and friendly competition among participants.

Want to learn how to play with a friend or teammate? Do you have a team that wants to be coached outside of organized practices? Do you want to bring your "for fun" group to learn some extra skills on the court?

 

 Whether beginners or experienced players, this comprehensive plan ensures that every member of the group receives personalized attention and has a blast on the court.

Ideally, the group will consist of at minimum 2 participants, allowing for effective coaching and ample opportunities for practice and interaction!

Group Lessons can include but are not limited to:
- Basic Skills introduction (if needed)
- Drills/ Stations
- Tactical Training
- Mini Game + Scrimmaging
- Strategy + Game Play  (advanced)

Depending on the participants' age, skill level, and specific goals, the plan can be further customized with more advanced drills and game strategies. Additionally, always consider the safety and fitness level of the participants when planning any physical activity.

Kids Playing Volleyball

Youth Lessons

$30/hr (minimum 1 hour lesson)

Recommended for children aged 7+

The Youth Volleyball Lesson Plan is designed to introduce young players to the basic skills and rules of volleyball while fostering a fun and inclusive learning environment and getting in exercise outdoors!

Youth lessons can include but are not limited to:

- Drills + Rotations

- Mini Scrimmages

- Fun Challenges 

- Skill Development Stations

- Teamwork and Communication!

Specific lesson plans can be tailored to suit the age, skill level, and interests of the children involved, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience for all participants.

Youth volleyball lessons are a blend of skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment. By providing a positive and supportive environment, children can develop their volleyball abilities, build friendships, and develop lifelong habits of physical fitness and sportsmanship. The ultimate goal is to instill a love for the sport and create lasting memories for the young participants.

What to Bring:

- A Full Waterbottle (Required)

- Knee Pads (Required)

- A volleyball (Fully pumped up)  (not required- if you don't own one, just let me know, I have many!)

- A snack, if you want one

What to Know (Please Review):

- Every lesson, even beginner lessons, will be tailored to the player's progress!

- If you want to have a Longer lesson (more than an hour) Please let me know at least 2 hrs before our intended lesson! 

- Group Lessons (if the player wishes bring a friend to learn/play) should discussed at least 2+ hours before the lesson, this WILL change the price and the amount of things we are able to cover.

- If the player is a Minor, all lessons will need to be made through a legal guardian :)
